Claudia Hans was born in Mexico City, she received her Licensed Degree in Psychology at Anahuac University in Mexico City, and an MA in Clinical Psychology and Education at Columbia University in New York. She studied photography at Laboratorio Mexicano de Imagenes, Gimnasio de Arte y Cultura and Centro de la Imagen in Mexico City.
